Afternoon sun, without the UV

You know that late-afternoon sun that warms you right through? The Red Light Bed feels a lot like that, without the UV. 15 minutes in a private room, lights down low, nobody needing anything from you.

What is a red light bed?

A red light bed is a full-length bed that surrounds you with red and near-infrared light. It’s not a tanning bed and uses no UV. You lie back in a private room with minimal clothing and feel a gentle warmth.

How does a session feel?

Warm, calm and quiet. There’s no heat to push through and very little sweat, so it fits easily into a lunch break or a busy day.

Red light bed or infrared sauna?

The infrared sauna is a heated room you sweat in. The Red Light Bed is a short, private, dry session. Plenty of members use both.

FAQs

Some of our most frequently asked questions

Is a red light bed the same as red light therapy?

Red light therapy is the name most people search for. At P3 we offer the Red Light Bed: a private session of warm red and near-infrared light. We describe it by how it feels and how it fits your routine, not as a treatment for anything.

How long is a red light session?

15 minutes. With time to get changed, plan on around 25 minutes all up.

What do I wear?

The room is private, so most people wear minimal clothing or underwear, which lets the light reach more skin.

Does a red light bed tan or burn your skin?

No. It uses red and near-infrared light, not UV, so it isn’t a tanning bed.

Who shouldn't use the Red Light Bed?

If you’re pregnant, sensitive to light, taking medication that increases light sensitivity, or have any health concern, check with your GP first.
